Tour highlights

Apr. 02 - Buenos Aires

Arrive Buenos Aires and transfer to 4-star hotel.

Apr. 03 - Buenos Aires

Buenos AiresToday we begin exploring the unforgettable city of Buenos Aires. The city is Argentina’s largest and its capital. Filled with colorful neighborhoods, European-style buildings, majestic boulevards and beautiful plaza – this city has much to explore. We will end our day of touring with a traditional tango dinner show and experience the sounds, tastes and culture of this vibrant city. BLD

Apr. 04 - Buenos Aires

GauchoToday we will experience a ‘fiesta gaucha’ (gaucho party) on this full-day tour at a traditional ranch in the Argentina countryside. Loosely translated as the South American version of cowboys, gauchos are residents of the Argentina plains. They offer a fun-filled day of ranch activities, a traditional folk show, a BBQ lunch, wine and a performance of their fantastic horse-riding skills. BL

Apr. 05 - Buenos Aires/Ushuaia

UshuaiaWe depart Buenos Aires and fly to Ushuaia. Upon our arrival we will tour the End of the World museum and the Presidio museum which was a former prison and now maritime exhibit. Ushuaia really got its start as a prison colony. In 1896 the prison in Ushuaia received its first inmates, mainly re-offenders and dangerous prisoners transferred from Buenos Aires but also some political prisoners. The town grew around the prison and inmates. The prison population became forced colonists and spent much of their time building the town with timber from the forest around the prison. B

Apr. 06 - Ushuaia

ParkOn South America’s southern frontier, nature grows wild, barren and beautiful. Spaces are large, as are the silences that fill them. For the newly arrived, such emptiness can be as impressive as the sight of Patagonia’s jagged peaks, pristine rivers and dusty backwater oases. In its enormous scale, Patagonia offers an innumerable wealth of potential experiences and landscapes. We will explore the natural splendor by visiting the national parks around Ushuaia and in the afternoon enjoy a boat tour on Beagle Channel. B

Apr. 07 - Ushuaia

Today we will visit the Terra del Fuego National park and see Escondido Lake and Lake Fagnano, which is one of the largest in the world, and has a singular feature: it occupies an active tectonic depression which separates the South American and Scotia Plates. Therefore, along the central part of the lake there is a geological fault: the Magellan Fault. The woods in the surrounding mountains are primary forests, this means that they have not been exploited by men. BL

Apr. 08 - Ushuaia/El Calafate

We depart Ushia and fly to the beautiful city of El Calafate. Named for the berry that, once eaten, guarantees your return to Patagonia, El Calafate hooks you with its irresistible beauty. B

Apr. 09 - El Calafate

Peroti Moreno GlacierToday we will visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. Among the Earth's most dynamic and accessible ice fields, Perito Moreno glacier is the stunning centerpiece of the southern sector of Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Locally referred to as “Glaciar Moreno”, it measures 19 miles long, 3 miles wide and 180 feet high - but what makes it exceptional in the world of ice is its constant advance - up to 6 feet per day, causing building-sized icebergs to calve from its face. BL

Apr. 10 - El Calafate

We will explore more the the Glacier National Park today and enjoy the stunning scenery. BL

Apr. 11 - El Calafate/Bariloche

We fly today from El Calafate to Bariloche. Strung out along the shoreline of Lago Nahuel Huapi, in the middle of the national park of the same name, Bariloche has one of the most gorgeous settings imaginable. B

Apr. 12 - Bariloche

We will visit a mellower version of Bariloche today with a tour of San Martín.  This quiet little town features a spectacular setting that retains much of the charm and architectural unity that once attracted people to Bariloche. B

Apr. 13 - Bariloche

Enjoying the national parks around Bariloche will be our highlights today. BL

Apr. 14 - Bariloche/Iguazu

We depart Bariloche and fly to Iguazu. After we arrive we will check-in to our 4-star accessible hotel and have the afternoon to relax. B

Apr. 15 - Iguazu

IguazuToday we will visit one of the seven wonders of the natural world – Iguazu Falls. The falls are located on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The falls system is comprised of 275 independent falls almost 2 miles wide. The highest part of the falls measures 269 feet high. We will venture to the Devil’s Throat, which is the U-shaped start of the falls and is often considered the most impressive part since it is the highest point and is 2,296 feet wide. Iguassu Falls is wider than Victoria Falls, however because it is split into numerous distinct individual falls Victoria Falls has the claim to the largest single curtain of falling water. B

Apr. 16 - Iguazu

We will have the entire day to relax in these peaceful surrounding before preparing for our return trip back home. BD

Apr. 17 - Iguazu/Buenos Aires

We depart Iguazu and fly to Buenos Aires. We will transfer from the domestic airport to the intenational airport for our flights home. B
