Tour highlights

Rhine RiverMainz, the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, is famous for its university, its Roman heritage and as a media centre, as well as its Romanesque cathedral, the Gutenberg printing press and the Rhineland carnival.

StrasbourgWith its monumental cathedral featuring carvings as delicate as any piece of lacework, Strasbourg is one of Europe’s most attractive cities. Thanks to the richness and sheer density of its heritage sites, the entire town centre has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage.

Black Forest

Black ForestThis ancient forest is famous for its legends and the black fir trees that dot the landscape. The region is famous for its cuckoo clocks and watch making.

Island of Mainau

Island of MainauThe Flower Island of Mainau in Lake Constance is one enormous park, in which a beautiful palace church, magnificent rose gardens, tropical greenhouses and an old Baroque palace can be found. Other attractions include the butterfly house, arboretum with the Grand Ducal tree collection, Italian floral and water cascade and palm house.

VorarlbergVorarlberg, Austria is famous for its tranquil lakes, thundering rivers, forest-clad hills, castles and more cheese than you will ever need for your crackers.

Lake Constance

Lake ConstanceLake Constance and its shores are very beautiful in a quiet, cultivated way and the views are serene. As Europe’s third largest lake, it is bordered by Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Konstanz, the city on the German side of the German-Swiss border, is a beautiful city, noteworthy for its cathedral and ancient houses and shops. Its vibrant centre - in which live music usually plays during the day - and harbor, dominated by the statue of Imperia - who holds the Kaiser in one hand and the Pope in the other - make Konstanz a fantastic city to visit. Konstanz has a palpable Mediterranean feel to it.

AppenzellThe village of Appenzell, Switzerland is situated in a singularly beautiful landscape of rolling hills. Nowhere else in Switzerland is the transformation from the hilly landscapes of the Swiss mittelland to the rock-dominated Alpine world so full of surprise as in the Alpstein region. Mighty rock formations tower loftily to over 7,500 feet in height – seemingly from nowhere.

St. Gallen

St. GallenThe Abbey of Saint Gall is a religious complex in the city of St. Gallen in present-day Switzerland. The Carolingian-era Abbey has existed since 719 and became an independent principality during the 13th century, and was for many centuries one of the chief Benedictine abbeys in Europe. The library at the Abbey is one of the richest medieval libraries in the world. Since 1983, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

InnsbruckInnsbruck hosted the 1988 Winter Paralympics and is an accessible oasis in the Austrian Alps. While in Innsbruck we will tour the Swarovski Crystal World Musuem.

SalzburgFamous as the movie set for the Sound of Music and the birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is indeed a city of music. Sitting like a baroque jewelry box at the foot of the Alps Salzburg offers beautiful scenery, history and yes music.

Prien on Chiemsee

ChiemseePrien am Chiemsee in Bavaria, Germany, is the main gateway to Lake Chiemsee, largest lake in Bavaria. The market town Prien am Chiemsee is a climatic health resort. While in Prein, we will visit two popular castles on the lake, Herrenchiemsee and Frauenchiemsee.

MunichMunich, the modern metropolis on the banks of the river Isar, is a dream city come true.
