About the tour

Sun. 14-APR: Arrive Tel Aviv – Transfer to hotel and the remainder of the day free. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Mon. 15-APR: Visit Caesarea National Park. Tour the Roman Theater, the hippodrome and promenade to the renovated Crusader city. Visit the “Caesarea Experience.” Then, it is on to Muhraka, the traditional site of Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Ba’al, with the Carmelite Monastery of St. Elijah. Cross the beautiful Galilee Mountains, stopping for an overview of the Sea of Galilee in the late afternoon. Overnight in Tiberias.

Tue. 16-APR: Around the Sea of Galilee - Upper Galilee (Ceasarea Philippi) - Jordan River. Breakfast at the hotel. At Tabgha, Jesus challenged his disciples to feed a crowd of 5000 in the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. Visit the Church of Primacy, and the Mount of the Beatitudes, where Jesus offered His ‘Sermon on the Mount’. Drive north to explore the upper regions of Israel to the foot of Mount Hermon. Stop at Tel Dan, important in Biblical times. Travel to the magnificent waterfalls of Banyas (Caesarea Philippi), where Jesus called Peter “the Rock” and promised him the keys of the Kingdom. At the River Jordan, there will be opportunities for baptisms and renewals of vows. Overnight in Tiberias.

Wed. 17-APR: Cana - Nazareth - Megiddo - Mt. Tabor - Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Cana where Jesus performed the first of His miracles. Continue to Nazareth. Visit Joseph’s workshop, Mary’s well. Drive along the Jezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo. See the little village of Naim, where Jesus raised the son of the poor widow from the dead. Then, take a minivan the top of Mt. Tabor. Visit the site of the Transfiguration. Overnight in Tiberias.


Thr. 18-APR: Traditional birthplace of Our Lord Jesus in Bethlehem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Fri. 19-APR: Old City, Via Dolorosa - Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Mount of Olives. Drive to the Old City. Go by the Upper Room, site of the Last Supper and descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles; Visit Davidson archeological garden and the Western Wall of the Temple Mount, and see the El Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Visit the Herodian Estates. Retrace Jesus’ last steps before His Crucifixion down the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Sat. 20-APR: Day of Leisure in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Sun: 21-APR: Wilderness of Judea-Massada/Dead Sea/Qumran. Breakfast at the hotel. Go out of Jerusalem to the wilderness of Judea. Take a cable car ride to the ruins of Herod’s palace-fortress atop Massada. Visit the ruins of the fortifications, reservoirs for water, Herodian palaces, synagogue, Roman temples and baths. Swim in the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947.  In route to Jerusalem a stop will be made at the “Inn of the Good Samaritan”  Overnight in Jerusalem.

Mon: 22-APR: Negev desert. Breakfast at the hotel. Travel south to the Negev desert and visit Israel’s Air Force Museum at Hatzerim to view the planes and equipment and to hear the story of this brave fighting force. Experience a camel ride and visit an authentic Bedouin tent. Learn about Bedouin hospitality and enjoy a light lunch. Visit Sde Boker and see Ben Gurion’s hut and grave, which overlook the magnificent Zin Valley. Stop at Mitzpe Ramon to gaze into the Ramon Crater, an ethereal geological wonder. Overnight in Eilat.

Tue. 23-APR: Petra. Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day tour of the amazing Rose City of Petra. Transfer from your hotel to the Arava Border with Jordan, cross into Jordan and drive to Petra. Visit to the wonders of the ancient city carved by the Nabataeans out of solid rock. A visit to Petra is one of the true highlights of any tour to the Middle East. For hundreds of years, Petra was forgotten until it was rediscovered in 1812. The entire city is carved into the sides of a deep gorge, which is entered by foot or by horse-drawn carriage. Overnight in Eilat.

Wed. 24-APR: Day of Leisure in Eilat.Stroll around the city’s streets or traverse the beach promenade. Overnight in Eilat.


Thr. 25-APR: Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Breakfast at hotel. Head to Tel Aviv-Yafo today. On the way, overlook at the tranquil Latrun Monastery, overlooking the Valley of Ayalon, where Joshua made the sun stand still. The monastery was founded in 1890 by French Trappist monks, and the monks, who maintain a vow of silence, produce wine from their own vineyards. Then, it’s on to Jaffa the ancient seaport mentioned in the biblical narrative of Jonah and the whale, and in the story of Solomon’s import of the cedars of Lebanon. Jaffa’s fishing port, St. Peter’s Church, artists quarter, Visitor Center and panoramic view of Tel Aviv are all highlights. The nearby open-air Carmel fruit and vegetable market is open daily, and is a colorful opportunity to mingle with the locals. Enjoy a fish dinner or a snack at the Tel Aviv Port where you’ll find the locals enjoying cycling, jogging and enjoying family time on the lawns. Overnight Tel Aviv.

Fri 26-APR: Last day in the Holy Land. Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
