Flying Wheels Travel hosted a small group travel experience to Germany and Austria in July. To say that our tour of Germany and Austria was inspiring might be an understatement. These lands provide such rich history, culture, unique cuisine and welcoming people. The best part for people who use a wheelchair or have difficulty walking, it is becoming more and more accessible. Many places now offer full access to exhibits, more restaurants have accessible restrooms and hotels are providing more options for accessible accommodations. For some places, accessibility might still be hidden, but if you travel with an experienced guide, you will have a terrific time in these fun and inspirational lands.
“I never thought it possible to visit the Acropolis in Athens, the Western Wall in Jerusalem and Pompeii – but I did it and had the time of my life.” That was just one of the comments from one of our guests who were part of the tour.
Flying Wheels Travel is mentioned in the April issue of Travel and Leisure in the ask T + L section. We are also pleased with our continued partnership with PN/Paraplegia News magazine, the national publication for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
